NANA & RASHIDA’S STORY – Vocational Education Training Exercise in Dakwa Yields

This training was part of the activities lined up for the implementation of the EDPOSD project – a project aimed at enabling disadvantaged populations to drive sustainable development in 5 states

In this quarter, the TLMN team carried out a vocational education training exercise in Dakwa Leprosy Community in the FCT, to equip the women with basic skills for income generation.

This training was part of the activities lined up for the implementation of the EDPOSD project – a project aimed at enabling disadvantaged populations to drive sustainable development in 5 states.

At the end of the exercise, the team handed two grinding machines over to two beneficiaries Nana Amumu (30) and Rashida Adamu (27), two dependents carefully selected by the central community mobilization committee . These two women who prior to the intervention had no source of income, have commenced their business and are both earning a living from it.
