2021 ANNUAL COUNTRY LEARNING (ACL) REVIEW

The Annual Country Learning (ACL) review for The Leprosy Mission Nigeria was held at Brookeville Hotel & Suite, Gaduwa Abuja from Monday 8th – 12th November 2021. This year’s ACL was an opportunity for stakeholders, staff and donors to learn from each other while reviewing the work that has been carried out so far and the next steps

The Annual Country Learning (ACL) review for The Leprosy Mission Nigeria was held at Brookeville Hotel & Suite, Gaduwa Abuja from Monday 8th – 12th November 2021. This year’s ACL was an opportunity for stakeholders, staff and donors to learn from each other while reviewing the work that has been carried out so far and the next steps.

The five days review was attended by over 40 participants from TLM Nigeria, partners from TLM England and Wales, representatives from 21 partner organizations from the Liliane Fonds Inclusion First Programme, consultants, representatives of the IDEA and partners from the National Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control Programme (NTBLCP). Core areas in the 2021 Country strategy were reviewed in daily sessions; Safeguarding, Gender, Zero disability/Disability Inclusion, Mental health/research, and Zero transmission/zero discrimination.

These sessions consisted of group discussions, plenary sessions and energizers. They were facilitated by Mr. Pius Ogbu TLMN; head of programmes. Mr. Terver Anyor TLMN; head of fundraising development, Mrs. Joanna Nwosu; deputy head of programmes TLMEW, Sian Arulanantham; head of programmes and research, Dr. Rosaline Etukudor Mordi; head of human resources – Society for Family Health, Joyce Amadu; Gender Consultant.

Participants expressed their appreciation of the country learning review, stating that they were looking forward to implementing all that they have learnt.
