The Leprosy Mission Sweden

The Leprosy Mission Sweden was found in 1985 by seven communities. Their projects are conducted in collaboration with local partners in India, DR Congo, Nigeria and Bangladesh. They work for all victims, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or political belief. Their projects are co-financed, reviewed and followed up in collaboration with the Swedish Mission Council , one of the organizations through which the state authority Sida, mediates development assistance initiatives.

TLM Sweden partners with TLM through the following interventions;

  • In Nigeria, TLM Sweden is funding the Resilience Building & Disability Inclusion Project (REDIP): This is an intervention that is being implemented in 25 communities Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Sokoto States, and the F.C.T, to empower persons affected by leprosy. Disabilities, women and young persons, to enable them access health services, develop resilience, challenge discrimination, exercise their rights, and contribute to the development of an inclusive society in Nigeria.
  • Strengthening TLM Nigeria Partner Churches for Integral Mission in Niger, Kebbi, Sokoto, and the Zamfara States.
